The original 3 lever, coil spring Laycock clutch is replaced by a modern diaphragm spring design which utilises the latest clutch technology. This new unit is fully interchangeable using existing clutch to flywheel bolts, without any modifications required to the vehicle or flywheel.

Major benefits of the diaphragm spring over conventional coil include:
  • Fewer moving components
  • A more compact design
  • Lower release forces / Lighter clutch pedal
  • Suitable for higher revolutions
  • Not affected by centrifugal actions
  • Clamping force maintained through full wear life of disc
  • Pressure plate has a large mass which when used with sintered friction material is very tolerant of operating temperatures up to 600° C
